Product Description

Get a Life! Show #17 Show Intro Kipp and Paula take a stroll along the beach in order to unwind and get rid of all the junk in their heads.

Rant #1 "Generation Y" Tori is perplexed as to why her generation, although very talented, has trouble finding jobs.

Story #1: TOURISM MARKETING DIRECTOR Trina Mather had been working in the tourism industry in Ottawa and realized the potential that Native American tourism activities could have in that part of Canada. She co-founded the Turtle Island Tourism Company (Turtle Island is the aboriginal name for North America) 18 months ago and has been working feverishly at it ever since.

Story #2: ZOOKEEPER Keith Forgie owns the Papanack Park and Zoo. Papanack has an impressive collection of animals: lions, tigers, lynx, hyenas, wolves, even snow leopards. Keith wants zoo visitors to not only see his animals but learn something about them. "Preservation and Conservation through Education" is the zoo motto.

Rant #2 "Career and Job Fairs"

Story #3: COMPUTER CONSULTANT ACB Services opened in January, 1997 when Sean Matthews and Luc Sabourin were only 19 and 23 respectively. They keep their prices low and offer their customers knowledgeable advice that many big box outlets lack. They regularly attend conferences and read publications to keep on top of the latest in the computer world.

Rant #3 "Hidden Job Market"

Story #4: DISABILITY ACTIVIST Laurie Alphonse is a young woman with a disability (she is partly crippled and uses crutches to walk). She is determined to make the world a better place for people with disabilities. In college she began working at the Office of Students with Disabilities, and has devoted the rest of her life to helping the disabled.

Show Wrap-up Kipp and Paula continue their walk along the beach discussing what getting a life really means.
