Court TV Crime Stories: John Gotti [VHS] Review

I was only 15 years old when John Gotti was sent away, so I don't have any memories of the case. This video was interesting as it gave me a chance to see the man himself and hear about his life (at least some of it) on film. However, I think for people who remember the story and the original television footage there is nothing new here, and they should give this a miss. I found some of the commentators on the video quite irritating. I also did not like the repetitive use of the same shots of Gotti and associates (there was not enought new footage)as the story progressed. Further, fans of Gotti may find some of the references to him in the video offensive or irritating. I preferred the video Biography of Sammy the Bull Gravano by A&E Home Video. You get the same basic story but the whole thing is put together better. However,the Sammy the Bull story has less emphasis on Gotti. Therefore this Court TV video was still worth watching despite it's faults, and interesting enought (to me) to warrant 4 stars.
