What a pleasure to see this peerless diva perform -- she is the purest example of her art that I have ever known. Like a great actress, she dissolves into her role, and yet her voice and style are easily recognizable for the effortless simplicity with which she nails every note and figure. I wish they could have taped in color in those days, and I would have liked to see her perform more examples of the coloratura repertoire and less of the popular romantic themes. Overall, I am delighted with this video.
