Biography: TV-Ography - Happy Days [VHS] Review

Like many gen-xers, I grew up watching Fonzie and the gang on the small screen. Subconciously following a cross country fad, I thought the Fonz was an awesome character. This video biography of the show's history and making was a wonderful trip down memory lane. In additon to seeing familiar faces, I also learned quite a bit about the history of the show. Initially supposed to center around the adventures of the all-American Cunnighams, the series gained imense popularity through Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli, a soft-hearted greaser who was perpetually dating the local women. By the later seasons, the character shift was completed: Henry Winkler was the first person listed in the opening credits, and the daily tribulations of the Cunninghams (if mentioned) were seccondary to the activities of the Fonz, by then a shop instructor at the local high school and co-owner of the town hangout. Taking the viewer behind the scenes of a classic show, this tape is an essential addition for anybody who likes classic sitcoms...and is equally facinated by production tibits and trivia.
